I’m a DCist member, how do I update my credit card or bank info?
To update your payment information, fill out this form: dcist.com/join. It looks like you’re becoming a member again, but it will actually just update your information.
How do I cancel my membership?
To cancel your membership please email membership@dcist.com. It will be processed within 1-2 business days.
What’s the difference between membership and one-time gifts?
Members are active monthly donors to DCist. All members receive the same perks, no matter how much they give.
We also welcome and appreciate one-time donations to support the work of DCist. They help keep our work going.
But, if you’re interested in additional perks (swag! free events! chances to collaborate and offer feedback!), then opt to become a monthly member.
How does this relate to WAMU’s membership?
While WAMU helped relaunch DCist, the site operates as an independent editorial unit. And it’s up to DCist readers to make the site sustainable and ensure it never disappears again!
WAMU’s membership program is separate and distinct, and it’s possible to show your support for both.
Will you put stories behind a paywall?
We need member support to make our coverage possible. But we cover D.C. for all Washingtonians, and we’ll never restrict access to our work.
