DCist thinks one reason why people in the District aren’t rabid fans of the Redskins (besides the Skins’ general competitive malaise the past few seasons) is because you can’t easily get to FedEx Field if you don’t have a car. And if you’re a suburban fan, you have to have to contend with the hefty $25 parking fee.

That’s why a lot of people want to walk to the stadium from off-site parking locations, which can be “dangerous,” according to the Redskins. They got Prince George’s County to enact a walking ban, which Redskin fans are fighting in court.

WTOP reports that the fans have lost a recent court battle over the issue, but vow to press on in the appeals process.
