Just as D.C. elections officials decided to throw out thousands of signatures on a video slots gambling referendum petition, a city councilman has decided to propose an all right slots ban. Ward 4 Councilman Adrian Fenty is now pushing a masure that would ban video gambling because “it isn’t fair for someone to submit 25-thousand invalid signatures – and then leave citizens and staff to spend all the time going through them,” Fenty tells the AP.
