A man driving through a Capitol Hill security checkpoint behind the Supreme Court on Second Street NE caused an Amtrak train bound for North Carolina to be searched for explosives. The Post reports that the man, a District resident, was heading to Union Station to drop his son off to catch a train. As they passed through the checkpoint, the man yelled something about a bomb being aboard a train.

As security officers at Hill checkpoints don’t have a sense of humor regarding such matters, they alerted Amtrak and the FBI. They detained the train and searched it for explosives. None were found.
