There’s nothing DCist enjoys more than a creative pin. However, with election season upon us, prepare to see lapels, jackets, and bags everywhere decorated with political buttons. Not all buttons are created equal: some will sport pre-running mate buttons to show off their political saavy, or even buttons for obscure races, candidates, or causes. (“Tippecanoe and Tyler Too”!)

Unfortunately, for most of us election season means the District will be awash in thousands of copies of only a few button designs. Pennsylvania-based artist LisaBeth Weber is here to ease the banality. Her buttons, plugging a wide variety of progressive causes and candidates, are each handmade and signed, and available on her website fundraisingpins.com. At $8 each they’re a bit more expensive than most, but they’re certain to turn heads as you strut to work on the Metro.
