David Segal, who has covered pop music at the Post for the last four years, announced a month or so ago in an online chat that he would be leaving the position to cover New York for the Style section instead.

We here at DCist have to say that we feel kind of rejected. So many people already think of D.C. as New York’s ugly, socially-awkward little sister; really, do we need even more reminders of New York’s fabulousness in our hometown paper?
