DCist will go out on a limb and say it’s not going to be much fun at ‘Skins practice this week. Not after the team committed seven, count ‘em, seven turnovers in their fugly 20-14 loss to the hated NY Giants yesterday in New Jersey. You name the malady, this game had it:

– Fumbles by sure handed Clinton Portis? Check (two of ‘em in fact)
– Mark Brunell getting injured? Check (pulled hammy)
– Patrick Ramsey throwing interceptions? Check (three of ‘em)
– Missed field goals? Check
– Dropped Passes in the endzone? Check

The seven turnovers led directly to 17 of New York’s 20 points. “We made so many mistakes today,” Gibbs said. “I think back and I don’t know that I have seen that many. . . . That’s about as many mistakes as somebody can make in a game.” The Redskins are now a pathetic 9-20 against the NFC East since 2000.
