You may have read our post last Friday when we reported that Visions Bar Noir near Dupont was closing.
Today the owners of the cinema confirmed the news in an email to subscribers to their newsletter. Saying simply that “our financial success in the last year and half was not what we hoped,” the owners announced “one last party” to commemorate the closing to be held next Sunday, from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m., and is free and open to the public. At the party, they will be selling movie posters, film reel chandeliers, curtains, and the bar noir sign “in order to help cover our final payroll.” The complete text of the email is after the jump.
