If you thought that the Tucker Carlson/Jon Stewart feud was the only political pundit vs. pseudo-journalist battle going on, think again. Our own irreverent Wonkette seems to be on the outs with Newsweek writer Chris Gasparino. NY Post columnist Elisa Lipsky Karasz tattles that the duo are in the midst of a grudge match that began with their joint appearance on the CNBC show “Topic A with Tina Brown”.

Following that heated “debate”, full-time blogger and sometime TV pundit (perhaps “plogger”?) Ana Marie Cox called Gasparino “kind of a dork” and a “jerk.”

Gasparino retorted a few weeks later, “She’s not a journalist. The problem with these liberal pundits is they have no clue what average Americans are thinking.”

DCist seems to remember a time not too long ago when opinionated punditry stayed on the air. In today’s politically divided climate though,call some a jerk and they take it personally!
