(From DCist contributor Hemal Jhaveri)
DCist apologizes for being a little late with this week’s recap of the West Wing, but we have family in town and the evil minions at our Internet provider have yet to come to our house and fix our connection. This post comes to you from our local library, where they let you use their dial up connection. We hope you appreciate it.
This week on the West Wing, guest stars galore! Jimmy Smits appears as Congressman Santos of Texas, a Democrat reluctant to run for reelection. Kristin Chenowith (who bares an uncanny resemblance to Anisley Hayes) is a buxom blond with a twang in her voice who lands a job in the Communications office to help Toby find a new press secretary. Why do they need a new press secretary you ask? Because CJ Cregg has been bumped up to Chief of Staff, following Leo’s resignation (see last week’s episode). The bulk of the episode follows CJ as she tries to adjust to her new post as the “virtual co-president.”
