It was a depressing week in the West Wing universe and even a few magic tricks by Penn & Teller (yeah, we know, they are so 1998) can’t lighten the mood. It’s Zoe’s birthday and Penn & Teller are on hand to perform in the East Room. People, come on. She’s the president’s daughter and she can’t get anyone better then Penn & Teller to entertain her guests? Also, magic tricks? What, is she turning 12? The magicians editorialize on how awesome the Bill of Rights are, and maybe (or maybe not) burn a flag to make that point. Whatever. Flag burning is also so1998. Zoe and Charlie (who are sitting mighty close together) are impressed. Toby and Josh, who are standing in the back, immediately freak at the thought of someone burning a flag in the White House.
