We’d like to welcome Post writer Joel Achenbach to the world of blogging. He’s been trying to get the hang of Typepad, how to link, etc., but it looks like “Achenblog” is off to a good start, despite being frustrated at times and complaining of “numerous moments of blogger neurosis”:

I hate the blog because there are strange symbols appearing in the text now. It’s like discovering a weird rash on your body, or breaking out in pox.
