Were you stuck in ticket “virtual waiting room” hell for hours on end while Wilco tickets sold out from under your fingers a month ago? Well, if so, this is a just a friendly reminder that alternatives to going to the show tonight or tomorrow do exist.

This evening, Wilco’s site is kind enough to be providing fans with a QuickTime version of the show, broadcast live from the 9:30 Club. You can check that out here. Also tonight is Bluestate at Cafe Saint-Ex, where four local bloggers, including DCist’s very own Kyle, will be spinning a mix of indie, britpop, and new wave tunes for your listening pleasure. The fun gets started at 10 p.m.

Thursday evening, NPR continues a feature we’re quickly growing fond of — “All Songs Considered” presents live concert webcasts from the 9:30 Club. They did it last month with the Bright Eyes show, and tomorrow they’ll be streaming the Wilco show starting at 9:30 p.m.

Also tomorrow, check back in to DCist for a review of tonight’s Wilco show. We’ll bring you all of Jeff Tweedy’s adorable quirkisms, and let you know how Detholz!‘s set goes – they apparently play power pop “outsider” songs with a “Christian kitsch” touch, so that should be interesting.

And speaking of concert reviews … DCist is looking for a few good bloggers to help us out in that area. We can’t be everywhere at once and, frankly, our wallets are a little too shallow to attend the entire line-up of fantastic spring concerts coming our way. So if you’re interested in writing reviews of shows and/or CDs (especially of local bands), drop us a line with some of your ideas and, if possible, a writing sample or two.
