Man Attacked by Machete Testifies: A man who was attacked in Fairfax by a group of man apparently connected to the Mara Salvatrucha gang testified yesterday he played dead to end the attack. The victim identified the attacker as Wilber Rivera, whose parents said he was working as a busboy at the Rain Forest Cafe in Tysons Corner Mall the night of the attack.

‘Cloud’ Examined: We wrote about the new lounge Cloud at 1 Dupont Circle in early February. Since then Metroblogging and the Going Out Gurus blog have written short posts. When we stopped by a couple weeks back we found this unfinished spot we hope they’ve gotten around to patching. A photo of their ‘Cloud 9’ lounge is after the jump. Their menu is discounted before the official opening later this month.
