Okay, if you haven’t caught on by now, this DCist is a little Bloody Mary obsessed. Its not a libation that we always order, but there are certain times where no other drink will do. Bloodys are also drinks of infinite variety. We’ve had versions with grated wasabi and garnished with a cajun shrimp, one that contained five different kinds of olives, and an interesting Canadian variation called the “Bloody Caesar” made with clamato. The variety does have its pitfalls; though there are many places that serve passable takes made with the standard mix, a poorly made version can be very disappointing.
To help wade through the dreck, DCist is planning on a comprehensive survey of Bloody Marys in our fair city. We’re going to be perched at bars from Burleith to Brookland to chronicle the best and worst takes on Pete Petoit’s noble creation. But we need help making an itinerary — there’s no way we can do this in one weekend. So in the spirit of last week’s mojito query, we’d like your help. DCist asks our readers: where is the best Bloody Mary in D.C.?
