The Post is reporting that a watermain break near the intersection of 13th Street and Florida Avenue in Northwest has disrupted service for people “from Adams Morgan and Cleveland Park in the Northwest and Brookland in Northeast.”
The break, which the AP, via WTOP, has described as “massive,” has buckled the street and “most of the dirt under the road’s surface has been washed away.”

UPDATE, 11:21 a.m.: Ward 1’s Jim Graham sends word out to his constituents.
Dear Friends: I have just woken up to calls concerning no water in Ward One neighborhoods. I have checked with DC Emergency Services, and I am informed that there has been a major water main break at 13th and Florida.
It affects a large area of Ward One. I am not sure how much right now. I am getting calls from 16th and Harvard, and I live on Ontario Road and I have no water.
WASA, and its General Manager, are on the scene. I am on my way there.
UPDATE, 11:46 a.m.: WASA reports that the watermain break should be repaired by 4 p.m. The Post updates its report, saying that the break has left five city hosptials without water.
