This DCist doesn’t normally find himself in the Palisades. There’s really no reason for us to venture out to MacArthur Boulevard; sure, there are some pretty old houses, and the rather strange movie theater turned CVS, but the prospect of an hour and a half on the D6 frightens us. Saturday night was, however, an atypical night. We decided to enjoy a change of pace by taking a late evening drive and checking out Kotobuki, the tiny second floor sushi joint next door to Makoto that both Sietsema and amateur critics have raved about. And the meal we enjoyed there was good enough that we’ve added the restaurant to our “Reasons to go to the Palisades” list, bringing the grand total to one.
