Long Lines Reported at Galileo
Roberto Donna, despite getting a spanking on Iron Chef, has shown many in D.C. his skills at speedy cooking by taking the helm at his periodic lunch grill. It’s a point of shame for this DCist that we haven’t had a chance to check it out — but if you work anywhere near Galileo, we hear eating at the grill is a must. For those who haven’t tried it, make sure you know what you’re getting into. The grill has become so popular that lines are reportedly mammoth, with serving cut off frequently after the restaurant runs out of food. So if you want a taste of Donna’s sandwiches, it would be smart to pre-order or show up very early — like 11:30. The next date to catch the grill is tomorrow; sounds like a great way to kick off the long weekend. Warning: the pork shoulder is apparently full of garlic now, so bring a mint or twelve.
