Well everyone, it’s Friday. We don’t know about you, but it means that we’re exploiting our office’s casual Fridays dress policy and counting down the hours until the weekend begins. It also means we’re just a few hours away from the DCist Hurricane Katrina Relief Concert at American University. Local singer Laura Burhenn pulled together a stellar lineup for tonight including local acts Gist, Cartel, Paul Michel, RPM, Army of Me, and herself for a show tonight at 8:00 p.m. at American’s Mary Graydon Center. A number of DCists will be in attendance and we hope to see you there – suggested donation for admission is $5. All the proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity’s Katrina Relief effort which will help hurricane survivors get back on their feet with new homes.
And, because we can’t help it, don’t forget about our first birthday party next Thursday at Stetson’s, 7 to 10 p.m. We just got the image at left back from our graphic design department, so feel free to pop it up on your blog if you so desire – a larger version if after the jump.
