Even Shadow Senator Paul Strauss had a car in the parade. And a classic one, to boot.

We won’t lie — we’re Post groupies.

While we all have our different loves and hates of the newspaper, this DCist is particularly fond of the paper’s Metro section. Whether cutting edge reporting (such as the recent series on contracting mishaps in the city government) or incisive analysis, the Post’s Metro section tends to be the standard-setter in local news. Of course, the section has its problems, among them sometimes spotty coverage; the focus on bigger headlines at the expense of day-to-day stories; and, worst of all, the fact that the Metro section is painfully short for an area this size.

If you have any gripes with or compliments for the Metro section, hop on the Post’s online chat today with Metro editor Keith Harriston at noon. If you’re short on question ideas, ask him why the Post hasn’t yet bought up DCist, given us cushy offices, and paid us generous salaries. Seriously.
