There’s a black shoulder bag and a pistol lying on the street near the intersection of 19th and I Streets Northwest.

The police initially set up flares and a partial roadblock; now it looks as though the entire street is being closed. The cops don’t seem to be detaining anyone. There’s no indication of where the weapon may have come from, although a vehicle or a rooftop seem to be the most obvious candidates.

We’re not really sure what else to say about this, but it seems weird enough to note.
