Perhaps its the dearth of submissions, or maybe we’ve been watching too much Justice League Unlimited, but recently Ask DCist has stopped waiting for questions and taken to scouring the city for citizens in need. Sadly, as internet geeks our powers are pretty much limited to answering questions. Also, in lieu of a badass orbital command center with sophisticated remote sensors, we’re pretty much stuck with our couches and RSS readers. But that won’t stop us.

To wit: D.C. blogger City Mouse is out of town, and tragically removed from the Clarendon Apple Store. In a moment of weakness she gave in to iTunes’ incessant nagging and decided to upgrade her iPod’s firmware. This is a process that requires that the iPod be plugged back into a power adapter in order to complete. But CM doesn’t have her adapter with her. She’s been charging the gadget through her computer up until now; with her adapter stuck at home, she’s now wondering whether the doohickey can be brought back to life before she brings herself back to D.C.
