FRIDAY:
Tired of us telling you about good concerts that have already sold out? Ready to get your St. Paddy’s Day celebrations started a week early? Well consider Fado Irish Pub as here to the rescue. They’ll be hosting a raffle tonight at 8 p.m. for tickets to the sold-out Pogues concert at 9:30 Club this very night. So if you’re desperate for the good craic and without tickets, run on down to the pub after work and try your luck at some free tickets. Just be sure to not to drink so much that you can’t hustle over to the show, which opens its doors at 8 p.m. as well.
SATURDAY:
>>The weather forecast really prevents us from making a daytime suggestion that would put any of our dear readers indoors. That would just be wrong. So plan a picnic, take a leisurely stroll, or consider cheering for your favorite team of knuckleheads in the Idiotarod. But fo’ reals, y’all are looking a little pale and pasty these days. Get thee out into the sunshine.
>>With Stephen Colbert now presiding over his own Comedy Central kingdom, the brilliant Colbert Report, Rob Corddry has stepped up to to the position of funniest Daily Show correspondent with such classic stories as “Rob Corddry’s Boston” and “American Resolutions: Threesome.” So wild horses couldn’t drag us away from catching the fake newsman in an appearance at the Historic Sixth & I Synagogue at 8 p.m. You can buy tickets for $12 in advance for Rob Corddry: The Daily Show: Behind the Scenes of the Real Fake News over here, or pay $20 at the door.
