Montgomery County Police Restricted from Message Board: WJLA is reporting that Montgomery County police have now blocked access to an online police union message board. The password-protected board run by the Montgomery County Fraternal Order of Police made the news last week after racist, sexist and anti-immigrant messages were posted on it. As reported by WJLA, if anyone tried to access the message board on a county computer, a message would pop up simialar to that which appears if county employees would try to access gambling or sexually-explicit sites. Condemning the posts, union President Walter Bader says that union leaders are thinking of better ways to keep the message board under control. Welcome to our personal hell, guys.

But the cold weather has pushed that peak back until Thursday, counters WTOP. The blossoms will be around for anywhere from 10 to 14 days, leaving plenty of time to meander around and marvel at the number of people that can be crammed into the area around Tidal Basin.
