While Metro’s online Trip Planner is a great feature (generating 29,000 itineraries for riders each day), it wasn’t much help if you were debating whether or not to wait for that bus while standing in the cold or rain. But in an effort to stay abreast of all new toys the kids are using nowadays, Metro has gone mobile. Riders can now access Trip Planner from web-enabled phones, Blackberrys, and Treos. Just like the desktop version, mobile Trip Planner will give you detailed travel itineraries that include transfer info, travel times, and directions. If you need a last minute restaurant table, movie showtime, or the local weather, we still recommend you ask our very own LastCall, which employs text messages.

Metro is also now offering an online calendar to help you navigate this summer’s track work, deal with service changes due to major events and holidays, and get to public meetings.
