Need we say more? We were just forwarded an email from an intrepid downtown employee who reports that due to a computer malfunction, the Potbelly Sandwich Works at 14th Street NW and New York Ave. is unable to charge their customers anything. Yes, word on the street is that until those computers get back up and running, anyone who orders will receive their sandwich, drinks, everything, absolutely gratis. So if you skipped lunch and work in the area, skip on down. Unless you’re a computer tech with a jones to do some free consulting. You just stay at your desk playing video games, where you belong.
UPDATE: As of 4:10 p.m., Steve in comments reports that money appears to be once again changing hands at Potbelly. So sad.
