Flickr user zachstern has been blowing me away with his infrared camera work. His toy camera, which he describes in detail here, blocks most light in the visible part of the spectrum while capturing – obviously – that in the infrared. The results can turn a plane into a rocket ship, foliage into snow, and simple ponds into mystical lands. Since it’s hard to pick favorites, check out the rest of the infrared work in the DCist pool here.
