I’ve noticed a few of our photo contributors in the DCist Flickr tag pool have been taking High Dynamic Range (HDR) images. Simply stated, the photographer takes multiple exposures over a wide range of intensity levels and merges them using computer software. The result brings out shadows and tones down harsh areas to create a photo that’s more like what the human eye sees naturally. Though Flickr user easement’s photo here looks a bit in soft focus, you can see the how the greens, blues, and reds are equally bright across the frame.
