Happy Halloween, DCist readers! Make no bones about it (ha. ha.), this is one of our favorite holidays. And now we want to share the experience with you. DCist is taking Halloween to new, exciting, virtual levels — that’s right, an interwebs costume contest! So futuristic!

Here’s the deal: email us [pablohoney at gmail dot com] pictures of your costumes from this year, or those of your friends (as long as they give you permission). We’ll be sifting through them throughout the day and will post the the cream of the crop this afternoon. Whoever submits a costume that goes above and beyond the great call of Halloween creativity gets an as-yet-undetermined prize. Maybe it will be an actual, physical prize. Maybe it will be the intangible of never-ending pride. Maybe we’ll buy you a sack of candy corn. But any way you look at it, it’ll be a good feeling.

Send us the photos by 2 p.m. and keep your eyes peeled for the winners.

UPDATE: By popular request, we’re extending the deadline until noon tomorrow, November 1st. So party it up tonight, but be sure to capture tons of photographic evidence!
