Here’s bettin’ that most of us will be hopping on a plane in the coming weeks to go visit friends and family over the holiday season. With increasing security lines, liquid fiascoes and general holiday logjams, the trip probably isn’t one that anybody is looking forward to.
But which airport will get us to our destination fastest? There can only be one… and it turns out the best and fastest place to begin your travels is our very own National Airport.
According to statistics studied by the Baltimore Sun, National has the area’s fewest delays, at only 14 percent. In comparison, BWI and Dulles both had delays hovering around 21 percent. The national average? Up at 19 percent, which makes National look like an even better option.
But even if you’re flying out of BWI or Dulles this season, don’t fret too much — things could be much worse if you were headed out from Philly, which is apparently the most-delayed airport in the country. One in four flights from there leave passengers wishing they’d brought more than that copy of War and Peace. Suckahs.
