It’s the end of the year! And DCist is here to tell you about it…through the power of radio. That’s right, if you’re antsy at work and want to hear DCist Editor Sommer Mathis pontificating on some of the area’s biggest trends, then tune into WETA’s The Intersection. Sommer’ll be there with some other media folks, chatting away. Can you guess in the comments what they’ll think will be the most important D.C. stories of the year? Tune to WETA, 90.9 FM, at 11 a.m. to find out if you’re right.
UPDATE: Oh man. Tom here — I just received a call from Sommer. It sounds like she won’t be on the show today after all. Would you believe that she’s got a flat tire? No? How about a dead grandparent, then?
She actually did get a flat on the way to the studio, though, and odds are she won’t be making it on the air. Our sincere apologies to our readers and the folks at The Intersection. But don’t let the lack of Sommer stop you from tuning in — we’re sure it’ll be a great show anyway.
UPDATE 2: Disaster averted! Sommer’s on the air via phone as I write this. You can listen here.
