MONDAY>> We’re excited to see Glasgow indie-pop group Camera Obscura headlining the 930 Club tonight. We last saw them at the Black Cat and compared them to Belle and Sebastian. The group’s latest album, Let’s Get Out of This Country, is whimsical, romantic and will make you feel a little bit better about your life, or at least, this dreary weather. Vermont via Brooklyn band Essex Green opens. 9:30 p.m., $15.
>> If your Fugazi T-shirt is still in heavy laundry rotation, we’ll see you tonight at the Black Cat as Joe Lally headlines. With Capillary Action. $8, 9 p.m., back stage.
TUESDAY
>> Distortion, noise and earplugs — the three things you need for a great night. Don’t bother bringing a date, Pinebender is too loud to carry on any type of conversation. Des Ark opens. 9 p.m., $8.
>> There’s no live music involved, but head on over to The Red & The Black for “Fat Tuesday’s Phat Haircut and a Shot!” night. $12 will buy you a new look and the liquid courage it takes to get your hair cut in a cajun-themed rock club.
WEDNESDAY
>> You can’t argue with a free night at club Five. With $5 drinks (including top shelf), we smell some serious hip-shaking a-cookin’. This week they bring you DJs Anton Chasm, Wickity, BFD, Section 8, Proxxy, DJ Illicit, Unknown and Logic. Time to bring out those silver spandex dancing pants you’ve been saving for just such an occasion. 9 p.m.- 3 a.m.
