Let’s get right to it: The Dismemberment Plan is reuniting for one night only, and tickets are going on sale tomorrow at 5 p.m. (via TicketMaster and the Black Cat). It’s been announced on the band’s website, and both Pitchfork and the City Paper are reporting the news (the CP is helping to organize the concert, in fact). In other words: don’t take getting a ticket for granted. This show might give last Saturday’s Arcade Fire feeding frenzy a run for its money.

A Dismemberment Plan reunion has been a hoped-for and talked-about possibility since their final — and, I can attest, unbelievably great — show in 2003. What’s brought the band back together? A good cause, of course. As part of the DeSoto Records family it only makes sense that the Plan would pitch in to help raise money for Callum Robbins. All proceeds from the show will be going toward helping Cal’s family cope with his medical condition.

A great cause and a legendary D.C. band — there’s not much more to say. The show’s at the Black Cat on Saturday, April 28, and will set you back $15.
