Rob Crow is best known for his work in Pinback, though he’s been a part of too many bands to count. In January, he released a solo album called Living Well. And well, it’s a damn good album. Pitchfork said, “Living Well is likely the most cohesive album to bear Rob Crow’s full name on the cover.” It’s what PopMatters called “an extremely sharp flex of his solo muscle,” and what Lost At Sea magazine called, “some of his finest work.” This album is definitely in line with his work with Pinback (as opposed to some of his quirkier and more experimental solo ventures and work with other bands), but there’s something to enjoy for the Goblin Cock fans out there too.

So, what does all this have to do with you? Mr. Crow will be lighting upon our fair city this Sunday night at the Rock & Roll Hotel in support of Living Well, and we’ve got a pair of tickets to give away. He’ll be playing with a full band, including members of Pinback and Heavy Vegetable, and welcoming Glorytellers and Brandon Butler as openers. Just send an email to amanda (at) dcist (dot) com with a clever subject line about wanting Rob Crow tickets by 4 p.m. We’ll let you know who won at the end of the day.

UPDATE: Congratulations, Lindsay. Your threats to kidnap DCist’s pets, dress them up in doll clothes and take incriminating pictures of them won us over. Have fun at the show!
