Isn’t it the winter holiday season that’s the time of year when we’re supposed to gain those extra pounds from overindulgences? It doesn’t help that several franchises– especially ice cream shops–have taken advantage of the spring months to hold promotional giveaways. Here’s hoping you don’t have a wedding dress to fit into anytime soon!
In case you missed the Baskin Robbins and Ben & Jerry’s giveaways earlier this spring, Haggen-Dazs has proclaimed today as their New Flavor Day. From 4 to 8 p.m. today, shops in the area will be giving away free 4 oz. scoops of their two new flavors: Cinnamon Dulce de Leche and Sticky Toffee Pudding in a cup, sugar cone, or cake cone. You could celebrate Mexico’s Teacher’s Day instead, but I doubt it would be as delicious.
Although the flavors appear decadent enough to merit only one scoop, don’t feel bad about re-queuing in line while donning a pair of shades. If that’s the case, we recommend biking to a local shop to work off those extra calories. A third scoop? Well, you just have a problem and we can’t help you.
Locations in D.C. are found in Georgetown, Gallery Place, and Union Station. Outside of the fair District, you’ll find them in Bethesda, Pentagon City, and Tysons Corner. Use this tool to map your best plan of attack, and enjoy!
