Looks like someone got a new macro lens. Flickr user christaki invested in probably the top thing on every photographers wish list right after “camera,” and has been locked away in his house turning his watch band into liquid metal and his frozen snacks into in-your-face deliciousness perfect for these hot days. We’ll admit, it’s not a perfect photo quite yet, but the detail in the ice crystals and his choice of subjects and composition for these close-ups tell us christaki will be blowing us away with his macros soon enough. You’ll also notice he smartly tagged his photo “food,” allowing our Food & Drink writers to find this image when they go looking to illustrate their posts. Think about tagging your photo with its subject matter along with general keywords that might help call up your image (i.e. I search “dcist” and “art” almost every week for the weekly agenda). While you’re at it, why don’t you geo-tag it, helping readers to track down where exactly that awesome cafe is.
