A Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and the wife of Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown, Connie Schultz will be at Politics and Prose to discuss her book … And His Lovely Wife, which is her behind-the-scenes look at Brown’s campaign and their marriage. 7 p.m.
In Last One In, Nicholas Kulish, who was embedded with a Marine attack-helicopter squadron for the Wall Street Journal, spins a slightly unbelievable tale of a gossip columnist who ends up covering the front lines of the Iraq War. Kulish of all people should know they don’t hand out that assignment to just anyone, but we’re willing to suspend disbelief for an entertaining story. Maybe Kulish will share some of his own war stories when he appears at Olsson’s Arlington/Courthouse. 7 p.m.
TUESDAY:
Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs author Chuck Klosterman will be at Wonderland Ballroom (yes, you read that correctly) to talk about his new collection of essays A Decade of Curious People and Dangerous Ideas. Free tickets are available only with a purchase of the new book from Olsson’s. 7 p.m. (Also Monday at Olsson’s Penn Quarter branch).
