MONDAY:
In celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, the aforementioned Bomani will host an event at the National Cathedral to ask the question, “What would Dr. King’s platform be if he was a presidential candidate in 2008?” This provocative question will be discussed with performances by The Hueman Prophets and Urban Nation H.I.P.-H.O.P. Choir, among others. Co-hosting the event will be Anwan “Big G” Glover of The Wire and radio personality Jeannie Jones. 2 p.m., Free.
