The Post is reporting that a low-speed collision between a MARC train and a railyard locomotive at Union Station could cause delays this afternoon and evening for commuters.
The MARC train, which arrived from Baltimore at 10:03 a.m. this morning, was struck when an Amtrak locomotive that was supposed to move the train’s locomotive to a maintenance facility “came in too fast” and hit the train while passengers were disembarking. Seven people reported minor injuries as a result of the collision, which were described as “bumps and bruises.”
Regular commuters on MARC’s Penn Line should factor in potential delays this afternoon.
