WEDNESDAY:
Brooklynite Maya Azucena (pictured) is a growing star on the indie soul circuit. In 2007, she released her second studio album, Junkyard Jewel, and has been picking up critical praise from outlets like Billboard magazine. She’s played D.C. before but this time she’ll bring her rich vocals to Blues Alley for two full sets. 8 and 10 p.m., $18.
THURSDAY:
The sixth edition of Beatdown will be happening at Felix. Beatdown showcases producers and their productions. Kleph Dollarz, Key Mastarz, Judah, The Unknown, and Mudd will headline in what will serve as a chance for local hip-hoppers to mix and mingle. 9 p.m., $10.
