MUSIC: Fans of dreamy folk/alt country/singer-songwriter stuff would do well to stop by Black Cat‘s backstage to catch Two Dark Birds, The High Signs and Sad Crocodile. 9 p.m. $8.

SPORTS: Tonight’s Wizards game against the Cleveland Cavaliers will be shown on TNT, but given that it looks like Caron Butler is going to suit up after missing 17 games with a hip injury, it’s definitely worth trying to score some last minute tickets to see him take on LeBron James and company. 8 p.m. at the Verizon Center. Tickets at various prices are still available online.

MOVIE: The Hirshhorn Museum is hosting a special one-night only screening of Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation, 1982-1989, a much-whispered about underground cult film made by three kids who painstakingly recreated their favorite Indiana Jones flick, shot by shot, over the course of 7 years. Per their agreement with Spielberg, they’re only allowed to screen the film at non-profit venues, so don’t expect it’ll be coming to a theater near you. 8 p.m., free. Two of the filmmakers, Chris Strompolos and Eric Zala, will be on hand for a q&a after the screening. Seating is available on a first-come basis, so get there early.

MUSIC: Ex-Kid Sampson Mara Levi has been playing solo for seven years. Now she’s back in a band, Thomasina and the Jam, who promise a night filled with impressive vocal harmonies, rocking drum beats… and argyle sweaters. Laura Tsaggaris, Liz Stahler, and Brianna Lane also share the bill at Iota. 8:30 p.m. $10.

READING: Scott Simon, the host of NPR’s Weekend Edition, has written a political novel a la Primary Colors, except set in Chicago. He’ll make an appearance at Politics and Prose to discuss and sign copies of Windy City. 7 p.m.

CLASSICAL: Cuarteto Latinoamericano is giving a free concert at the Library of Congress, including a rare complete performance of the Revueltas string quartets. 8 p.m.
