
MUSIC: Solid acoustic singer-songwriter Dan Mark plays with pretty pop outfit Arc of June at Galaxy Hut. $5, 9 p.m.
MOVIE: Military Intelligence and You! is a new parody of a WWII training film that makes overt fun of American arrogance and war time public relations. It’s playing at the E Street Cinemas tonight, and through this Thursday only. 7:50 and 9:55 p.m.
FOOD: The 20th anniversary of Taste of the Nation hits D.C. tonight, featuring samples from 60 of the city’s top restaurants and 35 local wineries. This year, mixologists from Bar Pilar, PS7, EatBar and Central will compete to make the best sweet and savory drinks. In addition, 4 guests will be randomly chosen to judge. General admission at 7 p.m. is $85, early VIP admission at 6 p.m. is $200. All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards local organizations working to end childhood hunger.
JAZZ: The military big bands that are stationed in the area are a must for any jazz fan. Featuring top notch musicians who play a wide array of material, the concerts are always excellent, and more importantly, FREE.
