TUESDAY

>> Wes Felton is a skilled rapper and singer but he’ll put down the microphone for the turntables at Marvin tonight as a part of his “Dub’s Pub” set. Free, 6 p.m.

>> DC9 will play host to four acts including Three Stars alum Flex Mathews, Educated Consumers, Joe Beats & Black Lungz, and Ardaplus. $7, 9 p.m.

THURSDAY
>> DJ Nitekrawler holds down his residency, Bionic, at Bourbon. On the agenda: Afrobeat, disco, and whatever else that has a funky beat. Free, 10 p.m.

>> The regular “The Glass House” event at the Asylum Bar & Lounge will be hosted by Rosetta Stoned and feature The Cornel West Theory, among others. $5, 9 p.m.

FRIDAY
>> Chris Burns’ residency at the Rock and Roll Hotel’s Hotel Bar continues. As usual, the tunes will be underground disco and other funky dance relics. Free, 10 p.m.

SUNDAY
>> Yes it’s sold out but thanks to Craigslist and many an entrepreneurial spirit, it’s still possible to get tickets to see the king of hip-hop, Jay-Z, and the queen of R&B, Mary J. Blige. They’ll be at the Verizon Center. 7:30 p.m.

MONDAY
>> Saul Williams (pictured) has been a constant force on the spoken word circuit for years and has even done some acting. His latest project and incarnation, Niggy Tardust, is a result of his relationship with Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame. He’ll be at the 9:30 Club. $20, 8 p.m.
