SPORTS: The Nats aren’t fairing very well against the visiting Marlins, but with tonight’s gametime temperature looking to be around 70 degrees, it’s at least the perfect weather to make your way to Nationals Park. Mark Hendrickson takes the hill for the Marlins. He’ll be opposed by the Nats’ Odalis Perez. Tickets are here, game starts at 7 p.m.
MUSIC: Justin Townes Earle, Steve Earle’s son, is at Iota in support of his new Bloodshot label folk rock effort, The Good Life. He opens for New York’s The Felice Brothers, with McCarthy Trenching. Doors at 9 p.m. $12.
HAPPY HOUR: The Friends of the National Zoo Young Professionals are hosting a wine tasting happy hour called Grapes With the Apes, in the Great Ape House. Let’s hope the smell of apes doesn’t detract from the wine! Tickets are $40 for FONZ members, $55 for nonmembers, and can be purchased here. 6 to 9 p.m.
MOVIE: It’s the last day to catch the AFI Silver’s short run of Last Year at Marienbad, Alain Resnais hugely influential 1961 dream-like new wave film starring Delphine Seyrig and Giorgio Albertazzi. This movie doesn’t even try to make sense, but it is undeniably one of the sexiest works ever put to celluloid. Bring someone you want to make out with afterward. 7:15 and 9:15 p.m.
