It was nice while it lasted. After four weekends in a row of zero track work delays, WMATA is letting everyone know that regular weekend Metro track work is back. The good news is that these delays don’t look too bad. Details below.

Red Line: Inbound and outbound trains between the Judiciary Square and Rhode Island Avenue-Brentwood Metro stations will share one track from 7 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 19. Metro advises adding up to 15 minutes of travel time on the Red Line on Saturday morning.

Orange Line: Inbound and outbound trains between the New Carrollton and Cheverly Metro stations will share one track from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, and Sunday, April 20. During these times, every other Orange line train traveling towards New Carrollton will terminate at the Cheverly station and return to the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU station. Metro advises adding up to 20 minutes of travel time on the Orange line this weekend.

Blue and Yellow Lines: Track work between the Van Dorn Street and Braddock Road stations will take place between from 10 p.m. to midnight on Sunday, April 20. Add up to 20 minutes of travel time on these lines on Sunday evening.
