TUESDAY:
>> Minneapolis hip-hop act Atmosphere will be at the 9:30 Club to support their recently released album, When Life Gives You Lemons You Paint That Shit Gold. If you’re still looking to go, too bad. The show sold out and typical spots to sell extra tickets, like Craigslist, are coming up dry so hanging outside 9:30’s door hoping to catch an unloaded ticket might be the best option. 7:30 p.m.

>> Flex Mathews‘ Good Will Inc. is going down at the Velvet Lounge. Free, 9 p.m.

WEDNESDAY:
>> With the fervor surrounding his song “Read a Book” finally dying down, Bomani Armah is getting back to the work that made him one of the most well regarded local poets. He’ll be performing at La Carbonara in support of his forthcoming album. $10, 8 p.m.

>> Alison Carney (pictured) has been making the rounds on the local soul circuit for a while but now is starting to get more of a stage to showcase her own talents. As a part of the Rhythm & Soul series at Bohemian Caverns, she’ll be performing two shows with AB. $15, 8 and 10 p.m.

THURSDAY:
>> Rock-soul artist Van Hunt will take to the Black Cat’s mainstage for a rare acoustic set. $20, 8 p.m.

>> Philly-based DJ and producer RJD2 released a solo project a year ago titled The Third Hand. He’s on the road and will be making a stop at the 9:30 Club. $20, 8 p.m.

FRIDAY:
>> First gaining popular notoriety for his work with artists such as Musiq Soulchild, Osunlade is now better known for his extensive catalog as a producer and DJ of house music. He’ll be in town for a DJ set along with DJs Mandrill, Stylus and Chris Burns, among others, at the Warehouse Loft Studio (411 New York Ave NE). $20, 9 p.m.

SUNDAY:
>> Label drama and bootlegging have kept R&B crooner Bilal from reaching the potential displayed on his debut album, 2001’s 1st Born Second. Still, he’s kept busy with live performances and will be at the 9:30 Club. $25, 8 p.m.
