
MUSIC: Philly-based DJ and producer RJD2 released a solo project a year ago titled The Third Hand. He’s on the road and will be making a stop at the 9:30 Club. $20, 8 p.m.
ART PARTY: The Phillips Collection holds its regular Artful Evening tonight, starting at 5 p.m., when the museum is open late and special tours of the Collection’s French paintings available at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Special this week is the Soirée Carte Blanch in the carriage house behind the museum from 6 to 9 p.m., which includes a DJ, performance art and cash bar. Advance tickets have sold out, but walk-ins will be let in as space allows. $12.
BENEFIT: Phoenix Bikes, a non-profit community bike shop in Arlington that works with teens to recycle quality used bikes back into the community, is hosting a Bike Show tonight from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $30, and include beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres, plus a silent auction, a raffle and a chance to check out a large collection of modified bikes. At the NRECA Conference Center at 4301 Wilson Blvd.
MUSIC: The last of National Geographic’s Rhythm Road concert series takes place tonight. The Chris Byars Quartet performs at 6 p.m and the hip-hop sounds of AFAR begin at 7:15 p.m. Free.
MUSIC: Give your soul a workout with Van Hunt at the Black Cat. The James Brown-inspired singer is doing a solo acoustic set on the mainstage. $20, 8 p.m.
