Dish of the Week: Frozen yogurt
With the crazy heat, the line at Tangysweet should be long with their free promotion today. If you can’t make it to the brand new Dupont frozen yogurt shop, we’ve got a couple of alternatives for you.

Sweetgreen in Georgetown, City Market (bodega on the SW corner of 17th and M Streets NW), and Ice Berry in Reston Town Center all sell the Korean-style frozen yogurt with fruit toppings. And if you’re a big fan of Haribo gummis, be sure to check out City Market’s selection.

For those who are seeking the less tart versions that are closer to ice cream (or a bit of nostalgia) there are still a few TCBYs in the area. The nearest to the city is in Arlington at the Lincoln Towers Blimpie. For a list of other locations you can try out TCBY’s store locator. I fondly remember the hot days of my childhood with a chocolate frozen yogurt topped with Heath bars in hand.
