>> A special night of house music goes down at Gallery in Silver Spring. New York’s Marlon D will be backed by locals Sam Burns, Chris Burns and Joel Chandler. $10, 9 p.m.

>> To celebrate Alicia Keys’ D.C. show, Slick Rick, NeYo and Biz Markie will be at Love to perform for her after party. $20, 9 p.m.

Saturday:
>> The three man L.A. hip-hop group, Dilated Peoples, will be headlining a show at Five along with rapper Aceyalone and producers The Alchemist and 88-Keys. $20, 8 p.m.

>> Monday Michiru was a pioneer of acid jazz and is now back on the scene with a new album, Nexus. She’ll be at Bohemian Caverns for its release party. $20, 9 p.m.
