If Monday rolls around and you haven’t spent all your cash on alcoholic refreshments for the 4th of July weekend, here’s another way to get rid of your dough: Tickets for the Capital Fringe Festival are now on sale.
Visit here to get a synopsis of each show running during the 18-day festival, and we can tell you, the selection is diverse. Cabaret, burlesque, one-man shows, operas about talk show hosts, clowns, samurai and Shakespeare. It’s hard to say which shows will sell out early (though previous Woolly Mammoth offerings have always been popular), but it never hurts to reserve ahead of time.
If you’d rather make a more educated guess, we’ll be bringing you a series of reviews from a number of our contributors, beginning next Friday. More details about the festival are available on its Web site. Tickets for shows are $15 each, and there are festival packages as well.
The Fringe Festival runs July 10 – July 27 at various venues throughout the city.
